Well, yesterday was national #WomenInScience day and I missed it. Why? Because Iām a woman in science šĀ
Woman, and particularly moms, in science have it tough. We, quite literally, wear two very different hats. One day, we are confident and geeky with style (photo #1). The next day, we are a hot mess: Submitting a $2.8 million grant 7 days after hemorrhaging from a c-section and 2 hours of sleep (photo #2). In the United States, the greater institutions do not work with us, but against us. But we get it done. And we are proud of it. And we are changing the world.Ā
So cheers, to all the other women in science (and STEM) who are out there. I see you!Ā
Love, YLE
You go girl!!! Thank you for everything you do, and I know your "mom" role is just as important as your "work" role. Stay safe, keep up your self care, and keep us informed! <3
You're a super hero with different costumes like Mystique from Xmen. š
