Please be right about all kids. My daughter has been praying every day for her vaccine. I was able to schedule her for Thursday pending approval. I burst into tears when I got it scheduled. I just want the terror to go away.

Is that appointment through your pediatrician or a national pharmacy chain? I'm fully expecting my state to at least try to impede the kids rollout or make it difficult for parents, I am googling several times a day trying to get a pre-approval appointment, but so far I can't find anything here. I'm in the same boat, we will be lining up if these are a go this week. Hugs.

It is through a pediatrician.

The pharmacy chains have nothing yet. We got one of my older doctors vaccinated at this office so I was on their text/email list. We have a lot of people not getting vaccinated here but the state itself is very pro-vaccination as is my county.

I am glad to see some cautious opening of borders. I know so many people with relatives in Canada who have been waiting for this day. We have so many citizens coming in and out of the country anyway, and the main issues are with our internal population.

This is such a helpful update! I've been wondering: do we have any more data about how likely it is for a vaccinated person to get long covid from a breakthrough infection? I would love to see another long covid update sometime soon if you have info to share! Once my kids are vaccinated (*crossing fingers*) that's going to be my #1 concern about doing more activities than we have been.

If we could get the vaccine rate up high enough, we could tamp down future waves. But I think that ship has sailed. There are just too many hard "no" folk around. So the rest of us will remain at increased risk and inconvenienced for a while longer - at least until enough of the hard "no" folk become convalescent.

Also, it's becoming increasingly clear that indoor air is the problem - particularly people's homes - which generally have abysmal ventilation. I'm worried about Thanksgiving and Christmas again this year. Corsi-Rosenthal boxes for early holiday gifts, perhaps?
