Hi Katelyn, Do you know when Moderna is expected to have similar updated results from real world studies? Also, where the chart says 'vaccine works', does that mean same efficacy as with old variant until known otherwise?

Moderna- I'm not entirely sure. I would guess this is coming very soon!

And yes, vaccine works=efficacy around equal than the efficacy with old variant (also called wild type)

Based on the remarkable efficacy (original and variants) of the mRNA vaccines, do you think most future vaccines will adopt this technology? I do know there are mRNA influenza vaccines in the works, but seems odd they’ve been in development for so long and still not in use. Do you think mRNA vaccine approvals will speed up?

yes actually! This work has already started (pre-pandemic) for cancer and allergies. the mRNA has worked so well, it is really the future of medicine.

so it's taken so long for mRNA vaccines to work because mRNA degrades so quickly, so we needed to find the right vehicle to transport it to our cells. we happen to test fat cells for the COVID19 vaccines, and it happens to work perfectly (although they do cause the high rate of side effects).
