If those so opposed to vaccines could only understand that by most of us getting vaccinated, the community protects the immunocompromised. Unfortunately, so many blatantly ignorant and selfish people in our country. Very disheartening.
Thank you so much for this article! For a person with an auto immune disease and not on immunosuppressants, I’m wondering if getting antibodies drawn would be a reasonable step to better understanding immunity status? Would that even make sense? Any thoughts on ways to “check”?
Thank you for this info, and hope there is updated information soon on this specific topic. As more and more people are vaccinated, the immuno-compromised really can use this info. Many thanks!

Does this mean that immunocompromised individuals need to stay away from one another?

I am one of those immunocompromised due to a lymphoma. The estimate that struck me is that 5% of patients in intensive care in the UK also have a hematologic cancer (https://bloodcancer.org.uk/news/people-with-blood-cancer-now-account-for-one-in-20-new-covid-patients/ )
Does this mean that immunocompromised people need to avoid one another, even if they're both vaccinated?

Just one anecdote but a third dose may be worth studying in this population.
